A: Allstate has a tremendous support team. Tons of great leaders that provide all the answers that you need. They gave me peace of mind that if I did what I needed to do—was participatory, making sure I asked the questions that I needed—that they wouldn’t let me fail.

Q: What’s the best part of your job?
A: The financial compensation is great. But the way that you feel inside for helping other people protect their assets is greater. And I would say that the leaders are going to recognize you daily. You’re always going to have affirmations that you’re doing a fantastic job. I have never not felt appreciated at Allstate. They appreciate my time and my effort. And they value their employees.
Q: What do you think is special about Allstate?
A: My work/life balance is one of the best parts of Allstate. I’m able to work flexible hours. I am able to go outside and run with my dog on my breaks. I can make a healthier lunch here at home. It’s what keeps me at Allstate. They understand that we all need time to kind of wind down, spend time on ourselves, spend time with our families. It’s important.
Q: What’s something that excites you about Allstate?
A: The earning potential is incredible. The sky is truly the limit. In fact, the only limitation is the limits you put on yourself. If you’re able to step out of your comfort zone and lay out a goal for yourself and take the coachings that are provided to help you get to that goal, you can make a ton of money.
Q: What does your future at Allstate look like?
A: One thing that I like about Allstate the most is that they actually did lay out a plan and kind of paved the way for my development and gave me an idea of what I’m working towards. Every single year they are able to evaluate how I’ve been performing and actually give me a raise based on that. And not only that, they’re extremely invested in my development.
Q: What’s your favorite part about your job?
A: I feel like my caring side and my nurturing side are still being fulfilled. ‘Cause I’m helping kids understand insurance. And I’m helping much older people get a better price a lot of the time. So I still feel like I’m able to be a human being through my job. I ask about their everyday lives. What kind of things they do. So that I can make sure that they are really taken care of and in good hands with us. To make sure that they can keep those wonderful things that they’ve worked their whole lives for. And to make sure they have the right protection.
Q: What would you say to someone applying for this job?
A: I would say to a new applicant who’s maybe trying to decide on a career change, or jumping into the working world again. This job is learnable. You are 100% coachable– at any time. So if there’s anything that you’re struggling with, you will have an abundance of support. If you ever want an example or want to listen to someone, everybody wants to succeed. All of us– we all are winning this together. We’re all in this together.
